All data that you indicate during your purchase in our shop is transmitted encrypted. Thus, especially your sensitive address and payment information is always protected from third party access. The encryption is done with the SSL (secure sockets layer) transmission protocol. If an unauthorised party tries to eavesdrop on the data during the transmission between your computer and our server, he will only see an incomprehensible mix of signs. The data will only be made legible again with a key at the actual destination of its journey.

To make sure that the destination at which the data is encrypted is also really the desired destination, there are digital certificates, which are issued by official certification organisation such as Thawte Inc. and Versign. The SpaceCamper-Shop also has such a certificate. The correct identity and the security of the connection is thus confirmed when you transmit your data.
