The darkening is specially made for VW T6.1, T6 and T5 and therefore fits exactly on these windscreens and side doors. The complete set of SpaceCamper window covers
Lights off, fresh air inside. With this complete set of window covers for the cab of the VW T6.1, T6, and T5 you can maintain a comfortable temperature inside your bus regardless of the temperature outside, condensation doesn't stand a chance and the morning rays won't wake you up from your slumber. The light-proof covers are available for the windshield, both side doors and as a complete set (with a saving of 75 euros compared to individual purchases). Particularly practical: the windows can remain open under the hoods for the side doors. Blackout, ventilation, and storage compartments in one simple set.
Insulation for the windscreen
The cover for the windscreen is equipped with an insulating side. The ability to keep cold winter air away from the large glass area helps immensely to keep the climate inside the bus comfortable when outside temperatures are low.
Perfect fit for the side doors
The window covers for the cab's side doors are made of opaque, yet light material. It is two-sided and is fitted on the door like a hood. You can still open the window between the two layers of fabric. However, insects stay outside - a mesh layer keeps them from entering. Thus, the blackout not only encourages a comfortable temperature inside your vehicle, but it also prevents condensation from forming on the inside of the windows after a night in the bus. On the side window cover', you find a pocket to store whatever you need in arm's reach.
The fabric is not UV-resistant. In strong sunlight, discoloration may occur.
Everything stays sealed even in the rain
The fabric is water-repellent. Moisture doesn't even get in between the door and the roof rail. When it rains, the water simply beads off the fabric. After a rainy night, you can usually just quickly wipe the blackout blind and pack it away. However, if it's rained heavily or snowed, the fabric will be damp on the outside. Then you can place the damp sides on top of each other and roll them loosely. This keeps the trunk largely dry. And as soon as the sun comes out, you separate the parts, and they dry super quickly.
Installing the window covers
Here's how to protect yourself from unwanted sun rays, heat, and cold:Place the windshield shade flat against the windows. Attach it to the vehicle interior using the four retaining straps on the included Velcro stickers. To do this, stick the Velcro stickers to the A-pillar in the door rebate.
To shade the side doors, open the driver's or passenger door and place the appropriate side shade over it. The SpaceCamper logo must always be on the outside in the upper corner. Pull the shade down as far as you can and secure it around the exterior mirror using the Velcro fastener.
Now you can open the window, set up the bars on the outside using the Velcro fasteners, and the bus will enjoy a dose of fresh air.
Packing size of the blackout blinds
The side panels fold down to a size slightly larger than a DIN A4 sheet of paper. The front blackout blinds also fold down to a size smaller than the side panels, and thanks to the insulation layer, the package is only slightly thicker than the side panels.Additional Information
